The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to games is not new and one can find many examples of it. I will not speak (yet) about the employment of advanced AI methods (e.g., bio-inspired optimization algorithms, neural networks, swarm intelligence, etc) to the development of modern games (surely I will do it in future posts) as first I want to introduce this issue (i.e., game AI) to the interested reader; so you can find here an interesting post about the top ten influential application of AI in games before 2008 (Click here).
